Li Yuchun’s New Film to Hit Cinema in December

Li Yuchun’s new film “The Guillotines” is set to hit cinemas in China on December 20th.

Li commented on the debut date, asking that if you have no Noah’s Ark ticket, who would you like to share the tickets of the Doomsday’s Eve with?

“The Guillotines” marks the first collaboration of “Infernal Affairs trilogy” director Andrew Lau and producer Peter Ho-sun Chan. It summons some of Asia’s hottest young actors including Li Yuchun (“Bodyguards and Assassins”, “Flying Swords of Dragon Gate”), Huang Xiaoming (“The Message”, “Ip Man 2”), Taiwan Golden Horse best actor Ethan Juan (“Monga”), Shawn Yue (“Reign of Assassins”, “Infernal Affairs II”) in a story about a covert squad called The Guillotines responsible for carrying out secret missions for the Emperor.

Li plays the only female member of “The Guillotines”. Her role and story still remains secret. But we may speculate from the released posters and the photo posted by the masses actor that her roles would have some harsh and yet some gentle parts. The only certain story we know about her character Mu Sen (穆森) is that she has some really touching crying scene, according to director Ho-sun Chan, who already watched the rough cut and approved of her acting, saying she acted like a professional actress in this film.
